upon entering the property, law enforcement and Animal Control discovered numerous cats and a smaller number of dogs. the animals were living in conditions described as unsafe, unsanitary, and freezing, exacerbated by a previous structure fire that had partially destroyed the home. Many of the animals were found to be malnourished, injured, and suffering from respiratory issues.
The Macon County Sheriff’s Office collaborated with True Rescue of Mt. Juliet to safely remove the animals and provide them with necessary care.
