Derry Murder: Man Charged, Another Arrested

A 33-year-old man is scheduled to appear before Coleraine magistrate’s Court in connection with the murder of Wayne Reid in County Derry, Northern Ireland. The charges stem from an incident that occurred earlier this week.

Wayne Reid, 43, was found deceased at a residence in the Society Court area.

Police responded to a report at a house in the Society Court area on Monday, where Mr. Reid was discovered. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alongside the man due in court, a 30-year-old man remains in custody, having been arrested on suspicion of murder.Currently, six other individuals – a 41-year-old man and five women aged 19, 33, 38, 39, and 45 – are also being held in connection with the investigation.

Authorities previously arrested a 28-year-old woman on suspicion of murder, but she has as been released on bail while further inquiries are conducted.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has confirmed that all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service to ensure appropriate legal proceedings.
