Diablo 4 Season of Slaughter: Turn into The Butcher and More

Diablo 4 is preparing for a latest season, “Season of Slaughter,” launching on March 11, 2026, at 10 a.m. PST. This season introduces the unique ability to transform into The Butcher, alongside a new Killstreak system and a collaboration with DOOM. Players who haven’t pre-purchased Lord of Hatred will have free access to play as the Paladin up to Level 25.

Become The Butcher

For the first time in Diablo history, players can assume the form of The Butcher, a terrifying adversary first appearing in the original Diablo game. As The Butcher, players wield brutal powers, including skills like Carve, Culling, Molten Slam, Hail of Hooks, Hell Charge, and Furnace Blast, and earn Seasonal currency through Kill Streaks. Killstreaks and Bloodied Items

The Season of Slaughter introduces a new Killstreak system. Players can earn rewards, including experience and reputation, by maintaining kill streaks. New Bloodied Items will also be available, offering bonuses and legendary-like abilities tied to the Killstreak system. TweakTown

DOOM Collaboration

A collaboration with DOOM: The Dark Ages will bring DOOM-themed cosmetic rewards to Diablo 4. Players can unlock items such as the Slayer’s Flail, Shield Saw, and Cyberdemon back trophy. TweakTown

Paladin Free Trial

Players who have not pre-purchased the Lord of Hatred expansion can experience the Paladin class for free up to Level 25. Blizzard News

Patch 2.6.0 and Early Download

The Season of Slaughter officially launches on March 11, 2026. IGN

Ceremony of Slaughter

In Fields of Hatred, a Ceremony of Slaughter will replace typical PvP combat. Players will gain Savagery with each kill, building their power and ultimately retrieving The Butcher’s Idol to transform. IGN
