Diablo IV and DOOM: The Dark Ages Crossover Brings Slayer Cosmetics to Sanctuary

Sanctuary is bracing for a demonic invasion, and it seems the forces of Hell are about to face a familiar foe. Diablo IV is crossing over with DOOM: The Dark Ages, bringing a collection of cosmetics inspired by the iconic first-person shooter to the action RPG. The collaboration, confirmed during a recent Diablo Spotlight showcase [GameReactor], will allow players to outfit their characters with gear reminiscent of the DOOM Slayer.

Cosmetic Lineup

Although the full extent of the crossover remains under wraps, glimpses of the available cosmetics have surfaced. Players can expect to witness DOOM Slayer-inspired armor sets, potentially with a particularly fitting option for the Barbarian class [Reddit]. Additional cosmetic items include a Mecha Dragon Serrat mount and a Shield Saw shield cosmetic, obtainable through the Event Reliquary [GameReactor].

Season of Slaughter and The Dark Ages

The crossover coincides with the launch of Diablo IV’s Season of Slaughter, beginning March 11th [Blizzard Entertainment]. This season introduces the ability to transform into The Butcher, new Helltide events, and a new dungeon type called the Slaughterhouse. Alongside the DOOM cosmetics, a free reliquary and Crucible weapon transmogs inspired by DOOM: The Dark Ages will be available for a limited time [Blizzard Entertainment]. Players can also acquire the “The Forsaken Gates” Gate Portal and other class-specific items to further customize their Wanderer’s appearance.

Availability

The DOOM: The Dark Ages inspired cosmetics will be available in Diablo IV for a limited time. Players can access these items through the in-game store and by participating in seasonal events [Blizzard Entertainment].
