Don’t ask me to choose between celebrating the holidays at Walt Disney World or Universal Orlando Resort.

I’ll never forget my kids’ wonder seeing the huge helium balloons in UniversalS Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s at Universal studios Florida or their delight as faux snow swirled around them during For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration at Disney’s hollywood Studios.

Both resorts can be magical, especially during the holidays. The only question is: What kind of magic do you prefer?

Universal Orlando shines with its Grinchmas celebration at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, where you can meet the Grinch and his mischievous minions. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is also beautifully decorated for the season, and the Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s is a must-see.

Disney World’s holiday vibe is classic and heartwarming, leaning heavily into nostalgia and traditional celebrations. It’s a grate choice if you want to feel like you’ve stepped into a Hallmark movie.

Universal Orlando’s holiday vibe is a bit more energetic and playful. It blends traditional elements with a modern twist, and there’s a strong emphasis on entertainment and thrills.

Both resorts are crowded during the holidays, but Disney World tends to be more packed, especially during peak times like Christmas week and New Year’s Eve.
