Donga Otsuka to Host 2026 Pocari Sweat Sangju Open Tennis Championship

Donga Otsuka, the distributor of the popular sports drink Pocari Sweat, will host the 2026 Pocari Sweat Sangju Open Tennis Championship in Sangju, South Korea. The tournament, scheduled for March 28-29, aims to promote daily sports participation and revitalize the sport of tennis within the region.

Tournament Details

The competition will be held at Sangju Citizen Stadium in Gyeongbuk and Yeonggang Sports Park in Mungyeong. It is co-organized by the Sangju Mungyeong Sports Association, Sangju Tennis Association and Korea Tennis Development Council. Sponsorship support comes from the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, Sangju City, Sangju City Sports Council, Sangju City Council, and Mungyeong Tennis Association.

Divisions and Participation

Approximately 600 players are expected to participate, divided into three divisions:

• Forsythia Division: Female rookies (144 teams)
• Challenger Division: Male rookies (96 teams)
• Chrysanthemum Division: (64 teams)

Prizes and Sponsorship

All participants will receive souvenirs, including Pocari Sweat sun caps, bottles, and powder products. Italian sports brand Diadora will also contribute as a product sponsor, providing prizes such as Boston bags and racket bags.
