SC Dortelweil Advances to Regional Cup Semifinals – Bad Nauheim Eliminated
Bad Vilbel/Düdelsheim, Germany – March 3, 2026 – SC Dortelweil secured a place in the semi-finals of the Women’s Football Regional Cup with a commanding 6-2 victory over SG Bornheim/Grün-Weiß. Meanwhile, Spvgg. 08 Bad Nauheim was narrowly defeated by SV Phönix Düdelsheim in a penalty shootout despite a strong performance.
SC Dortelweil Dominates SG Bornheim/GW
The Hessenliga team, SC Dortelweil, demonstrated their strength with a 6-2 (2-2) win against their league rivals, SG Bornheim/Grün-Weiß, in front of 80 spectators. Lilly Wiegelmann scored twice for Bornheim/Grün-Weiß in the 24th and 28th minutes, briefly giving them a 2-1 lead. Selina Geraci, returning from a suspension, opened the scoring for Dortelweil in the 13th minute, and equalized with her second goal in the 30th minute.
Dortelweil took control after halftime with goals from Emelie Hesselbach (57th and 73rd minutes), Selina Geraci (78th minute), and Laura Bennhardt (88th minute) sealing the victory.
Spvgg. 08 Bad Nauheim Falls in Penalty Shootout
Spvgg. 08 Bad Nauheim faced a tough challenge against SV Phönix Düdelsheim, who play two leagues higher. Despite a competitive match, Bad Nauheim ultimately lost 4-5 in a penalty shootout. Düdelsheim took an early lead in the 16th minute with a goal from Paula Marie Schneider. Bad Nauheim responded with an equalizer in the 33rd minute, with Svenja Häberlin scoring after an assist from Leana Schurig.
Düdelsheim regained the lead in the 57th minute, but Bad Nauheim goalkeeper Sina Schneider saved a penalty, keeping her team in the game. The match was ultimately decided in the penalty shootout, where Düdelsheim proved more accurate.
