Dover Man Arrested on Felony Drug Charges

DOVER, Del. – A Dover man was arrested on felony drug charges Monday afternoon after police discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in a tent on his property, according to the Delaware State Police.

Christopher Naylor, 42, was taken into custody after detectives responded to the 800 block of Artis Drive in Dover on March 2, 2026, at approximately 2:20 p.m. Police were initially responding to a capias warrant for Naylor’s failure to appear in Latest Castle County Court of Common Pleas Delaware State Police reported.

Upon arrival, detectives observed Naylor exiting a tent in the backyard of the property. He was apprehended without incident. A subsequent search of the tent revealed approximately 10.13 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale, and drug paraphernalia in plain view WMDT reported.

Naylor was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance (Tier 2), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Tier 2), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $15,001 secured bond according to WMDT.

The Delaware State Police Kent County Governor’s Task Force conducted the investigation as stated in the Delaware State Police press release.
