Texas Firm Acquires Davis Brown Tower in Downtown Des Moines

The Davis Tower at 215 10th St., has been acquired by a Texas firm, Woodside, with plans for cosmetic upgrades and filling existing vacancies in the 13-story building.

Woodside purchased the 152,655-square-foot building from Nashville-based Healing Realty Trust for $7.225 million, according to Woodside founder Mark Horrell.Healing Realty Trust is focusing on expanding its portfolio of medical facilities.

CBRE represented the seller, with Senior Vice President Riley Hogan of the Des Moines office noting the sale aligned with HRT’s strategic goals.

The acquisition includes a 710-stall parking garage serving the building’s tenants,which include Dentons Davis Brown law firm and Global Atlantic Financial Co. Woodside plans to focus on making minor cosmetic changes to the building and attracting new tenants to fill vacant spaces.
