Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra Celebrates Half-Year Anniversary with Season 4 Update

Dragon Ball fans have a new update to glance forward to as Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra prepares to celebrate its half-year anniversary with the release of Season 4 on March 18. The update, detailed in a new trailer released by Bandai Namco Entertainment, introduces new playable characters, emotes, and special in-game campaigns.

New Heroes Join the Battle

Season 4 will add three new Heroes to the roster: Super Saiyan God Son Goku, Super Saiyan God Vegeta, and Majin Buu (Pure). These additions provide players with new Damage, Tank, and Technical character types, expanding strategic options in the game’s 4-vs-4 team battles.

About Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra

Developed by GANBARION Co., Ltd and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra launched in September 2025. The game is the first team-oriented free-to-play action MOBA in the Dragon Ball franchise, allowing players to engage in fast-paced battles, level up mid-match, and unlock new skills. Players can capture enemy strongholds guarded by the Gods of Destruction and ultimately seize the Dragon Ball hidden within opposing territory.

Cross-Platform Play and Progression

Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra offers cross-platform play and progression, allowing players to carry their save data across different platforms – including App Store, Google Play, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam – by linking their game account with a Bandai Namco ID. However, Dragon Gems can only be used on the original platform where they were obtained.

Reception and Future Content

Whereas the game received somewhat mixed reviews upon release, it has maintained a solid player base. As of March 17, 2026, Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra holds a Metascore of 81/100, while user reviews average 6.2/10 on Metacritic.

Looking ahead, fans also have Project Age 1000 to anticipate. Revealed in January, this new Dragon Ball game features a new Saiyan character. More details will be unveiled during the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour event on April 18 and 19, 2026.
