Milwaukee Car Crash: Driver Enters Veterans Park

A 29-year-old man from Waukesha drove off Lincoln Memorial Drive adn into Milwaukee’s Veterans Park on Monday morning, December 30, 2025. The incident occurred around 1:44 AM, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities responded to the scene after receiving reports of a vehicle leaving the roadway. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a vehicle had entered Veterans Park from Lincoln memorial Drive. The driver, identified as a 29-year-old male resident of waukesha, was assessed at the scene.

Initial reports indicate the driver sustained minor injuries. He was evaluated by paramedics but did not require immediate transport to a hospital. The cause of the incident is currently under inquiry. Factors being considered include potential impairment, distracted driving, and mechanical failure.

“We are thoroughly investigating all aspects of this incident to determine the contributing factors,” stated a spokesperson for the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office. “Safety is our top priority, and we urge drivers to remain vigilant and avoid distractions while operating a vehicle.”

Lincoln Memorial Drive was briefly closed near Veterans Park while authorities investigated the scene and removed the vehicle. The road has since been reopened to traffic.

Veterans Park, a popular recreational area along Lake Michigan, experienced minimal damage as a result of the incident. The Milwaukee County Parks Department is assessing the area for any necessary repairs.
