Dyson Expands Robotic Cleaning Lineup with AI-Powered Stain Detection and New Wet Floor Cleaners
Dyson has begun rolling out its latest suite of vacuums and wet floor cleaners to the public, building on announcements made at IFA Berlin in 2025. The Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai Robot ($1,200) is now available for purchase online, alongside the Clean+Wash Hygiene ($500) wet floor cleaner and the PencilWash ($350). These launches represent Dyson’s continued investment in both robotic and handheld cleaning technologies.
Spot+Scrub Ai Robot: Intelligent Stain Removal
The Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai robot vacuum and mop aims to improve upon previous models with its ability to detect and intelligently clean stains. Utilizing AI programming and a “high-contrast green light,” the Spot+Scrub Ai identifies hidden stains on floors. It features a new wet roller that is self-cleaning during operation and automatically lifts when transitioning from hard floors to carpets. The robot boasts a run time of up to 200 minutes and utilizes a triple-canister base for automated dirt and water management. This positions it as a competitor to similar stain-detecting robovacs, such as the Shark PowerDetect UV Reveal.
New Wet Floor Cleaners: Clean+Wash Hygiene and PencilWash
Dyson is likewise expanding its wet floor cleaning options with two new models. The Clean+Wash Hygiene ($500) builds upon the WashG1 launched in 2024, offering a cordless design for hard floor cleaning. A key improvement is the consolidation of the dirty-water tank and debris tray into the cleaner head, simplifying the disposal process. The Clean+Wash Hygiene also includes a hot-air drying feature for the rollers and offers a 45-minute run time, 10 minutes longer than the WashG1.
The PencilWash ($350) is a new, lightweight wet floor cleaner inspired by the design of the PencilVac. Weighing under 5 pounds with a slim 1.5-inch diameter handle, it’s designed for cleaning smaller spaces and offers adjustable water flow control for tackling stains or different floor types. Despite its smaller size and 30-minute run time, Dyson claims the PencilWash’s 10-ounce water tank can clean up to 1,076 feet of flooring.
