Kevin Owens to Appear at WWE World Amid Recovery from Neck Surgery
Despite being sidelined due to a neck injury, Kevin Owens is scheduled to make a public appearance during WrestleMania 42 weekend at WWE World.
The announcement revealed that Owens will participate in a meet and greet at the annual fan event, which traditionally sets the stage for WrestleMania. Sami Zayn and recently retired AJ Styles have also been added to the convention lineup. WWE World will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from April 16-20.
Injury and Recovery
Owens’ last match was at Elimination Chamber 2025. A rivalry with Randy Orton was developing leading up to WrestleMania 41, but he was forced to withdraw due to a neck injury requiring surgery . He underwent neck fusion surgery in July 2025 to address spinal cord issues .
Additional Roles and Return Timeline
In addition to the WWE World appearance, Owens has been confirmed as a coach for the new season of WWE LFG (Legends and Future Greats), which premieres on A&E on April 26. Whereas reports suggest a return to the ring is not imminent, WWE remains optimistic about his potential return before the end of 2026 . Owens briefly shared a clip of himself performing cardio work at the Performance Center in November 2025.
AJ Styles’ Post-Retirement Plans
AJ Styles, who retired at the Royal Rumble, is scheduled for induction into the WWE Hall of Fame during WrestleMania weekend, recognizing his nearly three-decade career. He has also accepted a new backstage role within WWE, focusing on mentoring and assisting talent.
