EHC Freiburg Forward Eero Elo’s Season Ends with Shoulder Injury, Fabian Hegmann Expected to Return

Freiburg, Germany – Eero Elo, a forward for the EHC Freiburg, will miss the remainder of the DEL2 season due to a shoulder injury sustained during a game against the Lausitzer Füchse on February 13th.1 Elo underwent surgery on Tuesday, February 24th, to address the injury.2

Injury Details

Elo initially injured his shoulder during the away game against the Lausitzer Füchse last week and was unable to continue playing.2 Following examinations, it was determined that surgery was necessary, prematurely ending his season.

Fabian Hegmann’s Recovery

In more positive news for EHC Freiburg, forward Fabian Hegmann is expected to return to team training next week.2 Hegmann left a game against the Krefeld Pinguine early due to injury on February 21st, but further investigations revealed the injury was not as severe as initially feared.2
