EHC Visp Secures Playoff Victory Over EHC Basel, 3-0

EHC Visp defeated EHC Basel 3-0 in Game 3 of their playoff quarterfinal series. The Valaisans dominated the game, limiting Basel’s offensive opportunities.

Basel made a lineup change with Nater replacing Häfliger on defense. For Visp, Adam Brodecki made his debut, taking the place of Olson. Visp was without Forrer and Meile, fielding only six defensemen.

First Period: Visp Takes Control

Visp started strongly, putting early pressure on Basel and controlling possession. Forrer scored the opening goal at 4 minutes, deflecting a shot from Steiner. Basel’s Bachofner made a key save against Brüschweiler, preventing a quick 2-0 lead. Liniger recorded Basel’s first shot on goal around the eight-minute mark. Visp extended their lead to 2-0 with less than a minute remaining in the period, as Brodecki assisted Nilsson, who set up Forrer for his second goal.
