Birkerød, Denmark – March 13, 2026 – A unique opportunity has arisen for a visionary and dedicated elite swimming coach to lead an ambitious new venture north of Copenhagen. The well-established clubs SIGMA SWIM and Søllerød Swimming Club are joining forces to create a high-performance center focused on community, enjoyment, and sporting achievement. A Fusion of Forces
SIGMA SWIM and Søllerød Swimming Club, located in Alleroed, Birkeroed, and Soelleroed, are merging to establish a stronger, unified swimming environment in Nordsjælland. SIGMA SWIM and Søllerød Svømmeklub aim to enhance both their broad-based programs and elite development pathways. The combined organization will boast nearly 4,000 members and one of Denmark’s largest competitive swimming divisions, with almost 300 swimmers. The fusion is contingent upon approval at general assemblies on February 23, 2026, and is expected to be fully implemented by August 1, 2026.
The Role of Elite Coach
The full-time elite coach will be responsible for the top team of elite swimmers, competing at national and international levels. Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and conducting daily training sessions
- Developing short- and long-term development plans
- Individual performance optimization
- Competition preparation and participation in championships
The coach will report to the Director and collaborate closely with the coaching staff and board members. This position is not merely a coaching role; it’s a strategic leadership position in building a new swimming environment.
