The development of HP Starlink which Elon Musk denies
Initially, rumors of the development of a cellphone with a Starlink connection were revealed by the media outlet Reuters which quoted statements from three sources within the company. According to the report, this effort is related to SpaceX’s plans to build a data center in space.
Sources quoted by Reuters claim that Starlink cellphones will compete with smartphones. Although, the specifications and design of this rumored device have not been revealed further.
The “insider” also said that this plan had actually been planned for years.
Meanwhile, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has responded to this news. The richest person in the world according to Forbes, denied the report and emphasized that his party was not making smartphones.
“We are not developing cellphones,” said Musk, on X/Twitter with the account handle @elonmusk, responding to someone’s post discussing SpaceX’s smartphone development and including a link to the Reuters article.
Even though he denied it, Musk at the end of January stated that developing a cellphone for SpaceX was not impossible.

However, he emphasized that the cellphone developed by the spacecraft company must be very different from the cellphones that currently exist in society.
Rather than mainstream smartphones, SpaceX phones will instead be optimized “specifically to run neural networks with maximum performance per watt ratio.”
This statement does not mean that SpaceX is developing a smartphone, but rather confirms that developing this device is not impossible for the company owned by one of the world’s richest people.
In fact, Musk basically always says that SpaceX has many projects in progress.
Moreover, now SpaceX has been combined with a startup that focuses on artificial intelligence (AI) xAI, compiled by KompasTekno from Teslarati.
