England Fan Missing in Barcelona After World Cup Celebrations, Police Involved
The British Embassy and local police have been notified, and authorities are investigating the case, which has sparked concern among friends and family.
Last Seen at Bar Sauvage, Wearing England Shirt
Musgrave was last seen around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday at Bar Sauvage, a club in the Catalan capital, after a night of celebrating England’s win against Norway, according to a social media appeal by his friends. “He was wearing a blue England football shirt,” the post stated, adding that he was due to return to the UK on Sunday but had not been seen since. His phone was reportedly lost or stolen, cutting off communication with his companions.
Friends of Musgrave, including Ella Beetham and Joe Bannister, described the situation as “very worrying” and urged the public to come forward with any information. “Please help us find our friend Dan,” Bannister wrote, sharing a photo of Musgrave from the night of the disappearance. A missing persons report has been filed with Barcelona police, and the British Embassy in Spain has been informed, according to local media.
Context of Recent Disappearances in Spain
The case comes amid heightened attention on safety for international visitors in Spain following the recent death of 17-year-old Nikoline, a Norwegian teenager who was killed in a hit-and-run accident near Marbella. The driver fled the scene, and authorities have not yet identified the suspect.

Search Efforts and Public Appeal
As the search continues, the case underscores the challenges of locating missing persons in urban environments, particularly when communication devices are unavailable.
