Eric Roberts Crowned Ireland’s Best Male TV Presenter!

Donegal’s Eric Roberts has been awarded Ireland’s best male TV presenter at the 2026 Gossies awards, marking his second year hosting the event. The awards ceremony, sponsored by OOOSCH, took place on February 28th at the RDS Concert Hall in Dublin [DailyFeed.ie].

Roberts, currently balancing roles on RTÉ’s Dancing with the Stars and Ireland AM, expressed his honor at receiving the prize. “I absolutely love presenting. I think it’s obvious to everyone in this room how much I adore it,” he stated. He also acknowledged his fellow nominees, including Dáithí Ó Sé, James Patrice, and Brian Dowling, noting he held them in high regard [Goss.ie].

“I feel like I haven’t worked a day in my life since I left my job as an SNA, so I’m particularly appreciative of it,” Roberts added. He was also nominated for Best Social Media Star, an award he previously won in 2025.

Roberts’s career trajectory has seen significant growth since he began creating humorous videos on TikTok during the pandemic. This led him to transition from his position as a Special Needs Assistant at Mulroy College to full-time social media and content creation. In 2025, he relocated to Dublin to join the Ireland AM team [Goss.ie].

Newstalk presenter Andrea Gilligan, originally from Ballyshannon, announced Roberts’s award at the ceremony. Katie Price was also in attendance, pictured with Roberts at the event [Goss.ie].
