Erika Norwich Splits from Boyfriend, Confirms Breakup
Norwegian artist Erika Norwich has confirmed her breakup with her boyfriend, stating that although it’s a recent development, she is handling it well. The news comes after Norwich had previously spoken about rekindling a relationship with a former partner.
Recent Relationship and Breakup
Norwich revealed in January that she had reunited with a previous love interest, sharing that they had been in a relationship before, ended it, and then found their way back to each other. However, on Saturday, March 20, 2026, she announced the relationship had ended again.
“Yes, I have been dumped. It’s embarrassing given that it’s been four months. I think it’s embarrassing that I’ve gone out and said I have a boyfriend,” Norwich shared on social media, according to Dagbladet.
Challenges of a Long-Distance Relationship
Norwich explained that the breakup wasn’t due to any wrongdoing on either side, but rather the logistical challenges of maintaining a relationship with someone living in England while she resides in Norway.
Positive Outlook and Personal Growth
Despite the split, Norwich expressed a positive outlook, stating, “I’m doing very well. I am very shocked at how well it is going. I thought I would handle it badly. But I’ve been working a lot on myself since last time. I have become very independent and learned to be alone. I don’t sense like I’m dependent on anyone.”
She also praised her former partner, describing him as “still the nicest person I have met, without a doubt… thoroughly good. He is so incredibly kind to everyone and has such good values.”
Upcoming Performance at Melodi Grand Prix
Norwich is preparing for a performance at the final of Melodi Grand Prix in Trondheim spectrum, where she will perform after Gåte. Dagbladet reports that Agusta Magnusdottir and Ørjan Ryland will host the event.
