Facer Adds ‘Face Chime’ to Wear OS Watch Faces

Facer, a leading smartwatch face platform, has launched a new feature called “Face Chime” for Wear OS users. This addition allows watch face creators to integrate custom chime sounds that play on the hour.

Currently available on Wear OS 6, Face Chime enhances the smartwatch experience with subtle hourly audio cues. However,users cannot independently add these chimes; the functionality relies on watch face designers implementing the feature within their designs.

Facer anticipates that thousands of watch faces will be updated with Face Chime sounds in the coming weeks, tho a limited selection of compatible faces are currently available. The feature was initially announced at CES last week.
