Fairfield Swimming & Diving Concludes ECAC Championship

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Fairfield University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams completed competition at the ECAC Championship on Sunday, finishing sixth in their respective competitions. The men’s team accumulated 274 points, while the women’s program totaled 217 points over the three-day event.

Sunday’s Performances

The final day of competition began with the 1650 freestyle, where Riley Edge finished third in the B final with a time of 2:04.12, placing 11th overall. The men’s team saw strong performances in the same event, led by Bobby Regan’s fourth-place time of 1:48.07 and Will Landon’s fifth-place finish at 1:49.24.

Balazs Ament competed in the 100 freestyle, securing 11th place overall after finishing third in the B final with a time of 45.18. Olivia Glaser advanced to the A final of the 200 breaststroke, finishing eighth with a time of 2:23.71.

Jack Behm led the men in the 200 breaststroke, placing fifth in the B final with a time of 2:06.03, followed closely by Tommy Yaegel (2:06.04) and James Robinson (2:06.84). Briana Racanello achieved a top-10 finish in the 200 butterfly, completing the distance in 2:09.81 for second in the B final and 10th overall. Ryan Woodzell represented the Stags in the men’s 200 butterfly, posting a time of 1:55.37 for eighth in the B final.
