Fenton Road Lane Changes to be Discussed at Public Meeting

Mundy Township, Michigan, will host a public informational meeting in April to discuss proposed changes to Fenton Road, between Grand Blanc Road and Hill Road. The Genesee County Road Commission (GCRC) will present details regarding construction and lane configuration adjustments.

Meeting Details

The meeting is scheduled for April 8, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. To 6:00 p.m. at the Mundy Township office, located at 3478 Mundy Avenue in Swartz Creek. Attendees will have access to proposed maps, plans, cost estimates, and study reports for review.

Project Overview

The project, currently in the design phase, is estimated to cost approximately $2.9 million. Construction is anticipated to start in the spring of 2027. Funding will primarily come from federal dollars and county road commission funds. The GCRC will administer and manage the project.

Related Projects in Genesee County

The GCRC is as well considering a roundabout at the intersection of Fenton Road and Baldwin Road, though that project remains in the design phase as of October 2, 2025. More information on the roundabout project can be found here.
