Hawai’i Women’s Golf Improves at PING ASU Invitational

PHOENIX, Ariz. — The University of Hawai’i women’s golf team demonstrated improvement during Tuesday’s second round of the PING ASU Invitational, shaving five strokes off their opening-round score. Competing at the par-72 Papago Golf Club, Hawai’i carded a 303 (+15) to bring their two-day total to 611 (+35).

Rainbow Wahine Standings

The Rainbow Wahine remain in 15th place heading into the final day of competition. The team is currently led by solid performances from Maline Kraus and Jasmine Wong.

Individual Performances

  • Maline Kraus: Carded a 2-over 74, tying for 49th place with a two-round total of 149 (+5).
  • Jasmine Wong: Followed with a 3-over 75, also tying for 49th place at 149 (+5).
  • Emiko Sverduk: Carded a 4-over 76, bringing her total to 155 (+11) and placing her in a tie for 72nd.
  • Kaydence Kim & Sofina Firouzi: Tied for 83rd place at 159 (+15) after rounds of 79 and 78, respectively.

Tournament Leaderboard

Southern California continues to lead the team standings with a 24-under-par total of 552. The Trojans are spearheaded by Catherine Park, who took over the individual lead after firing a 6-under 66 on Tuesday. Park sits at 10-under-par (134) for the tournament, holding a four-stroke advantage over Elise Lee (USC) and Arizona State’s Pimpisa Rubrong, who are tied for second place.
