Man Charged with Murder of Ellie Flanagan in Northern Ireland

A 45-year-vintage man has been charged with the murder of 23-year-old Ellie Flanagan in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. The charge comes after Ms. Flanagan was found dead at her home on Corban Avenue over the weekend.

Investigation and Charges

Police launched a murder investigation following the discovery of Ms. Flanagan’s body. The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) confirmed the charge on Wednesday night. The man has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon with intent.

He is scheduled to appear before Strabane Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, March 12, 2026, via video link. As standard procedure, the Public Prosecution Service will review the charges according to the PSNI.

The investigation into Ms. Flanagan’s death began after officers responded to inquiries relating to a crash on the Carn Road near Tempo at approximately 9:15 pm on Saturday. Derry Now reported that Ms. Flanagan was found dead in the Corban Avenue area of Enniskillen during this time.
