Florida Gators Volleyball Trio Selected for 2026 Women’s National Team Collegiate Training

Three University of Florida volleyball players – Lily Hayes, Alec Rothe, and Taylor Parks – have been selected to participate in the 2026 Women’s National Team Collegiate Training in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The announcement was made on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, by USA Volleyball.

Development Opportunity

The training, scheduled from February 19-22 at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center, is designed as a high-level development opportunity for collegiate athletes. Participants will engage in professional volleyball presentations and receive direct assessment from the Women’s National Team staff [USA Volleyball].

Player Highlights

Lily Hayes

Hayes earned selection after a standout freshman campaign in 2025. She was named AVCA Southeast Region Freshman of the Year and secured a spot on the AVCA Southeast Region First Team. She also earned a place on the SEC All-Freshman Team. Hayes previously won a silver medal as a member of the 2025 U19 USA Team at the FIVB Girls U19 World Championships.

Alec Rothe

Rothe was also named to the 2025 AVCA Southeast Region First Team. She previously received SEC Freshman of the Week honors in September 2024. Rothe is a middle blocker for the Gators [Florida Gators].

Taylor Parks

Parks brings international experience to the training, having represented the United States on the 2025 USA Volleyball U-21 National Team. She won a gold medal at the 2025 NORCECA Pan American Cup and was named Best Server of the tournament. Parks also earned 2024 AVCA All-Southeast Region Honorable Mention and was named to the 2024 SEC All-Freshman Team, receiving four SEC Freshman of the Week selections throughout the 2024 season (September 2, October 28, November 4, and November 25) [Florida Gators].

National Team Training Center

The U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center will host 62 athletes representing 20 USA Volleyball regions during the three-day training session.
