Foo Fighters’ Intimate Other Voices Performance to Air on RTÉ This Easter
Foo Fighters’ recent, highly exclusive performance as part of the Other Voices series is set to air on RTÉ2 this Easter Monday, April 6th, at 9:30 PM (BST). The concert, filmed in St. James’ Church in Dingle, Ireland, was a unique and intimate event, attended by only 80 fans.
A Unique Setting and Performance
The performance marks a significant moment for both Foo Fighters and Other Voices. Dave Grohl described the experience as a first for the band, stating, “We have never done something like this before. We have played small shows, but this is our first church. What we know of Other Voices is that it is something remarkably special.” The concert as well represents the smallest stadium gig in the world, according to Other Voices founder Philip King.
What to Expect from the Episode
The hour-long episode will feature a mix of latest material from Foo Fighters’ upcoming album, Your Favourite Toy, set for release on April 24th, alongside their iconic hits such as “My Hero,” “Everlong,” and “Times Like These.” Notably, the band also performed “A320” live for the first time since 2000.
Celebrating 25 Years of Other Voices
This special performance kicks off the 25th-anniversary celebrations for Other Voices. Philip King emphasized the privilege of hosting Foo Fighters, calling it “a brilliant, moving, and passionate performance” and “a wonderful musical gift.” RTÉ Executive Producer Justin Healy added that it was “incredible that Foo Fighters chose Dingle, Other Voices and RTÉ as the home for this very special intimate, but incredibly loud performance.”
