Ford Argentina and fundación Cimientos empower Youth Through Education

Buenos Aires,December 4,2025 – Ford Argentina reaffirms its commitment to the education and growth of new generations through its strong alliance with Fundación Cimientos. Recently, beneficiaries of the Ford driving Dreams project, part of Cimientos’ Future Graduates program, visited Ford’s Pacheco plant, an experiance designed to inspire and connect their studies with the real world of work.

For Ford, education is a fundamental pillar of its community relationship strategy, both globally and locally. Through Ford Driving Dreams (FDD), the company focuses on developing skills and abilities that support the school careers of young people aged 16-18, helping them complete secondary education and empowering them to build a life project. In 2025,FDD,alongside Future Graduates, supported the schooling of 65 students from state-run schools in Pilar, josé C. Paz, General Pacheco, and Beccar in the province of Buenos Aires. This initiative aims to foster a belief in the possibility of studying and reduce educational barriers, improving academic performance and reducing school dropouts to encourage continued education and timely graduation.

Fundación Cimientos, a civil society organization with 28 years of experience and national reach, believes all young people deserve access to opportunities. Ford has been a key ally of Cimientos for over a decade, considerably contributing to the impact of its programs.

The recent plant visit allowed students to learn firsthand about automotive production, interact with industry professionals, and envision the opportunities a future with education can provide. This experience complements the workshops and activities organized by Cimientos, focusing on communication, vocational guidance, resume development, job searching, technology, higher education, and socio-emotional skills.

In Argentina, 7 out of 10 students in vulnerable situations do not finish secondary school within the standard timeframe. Completing this cycle is essential, as a young person with a secondary degree has twice the prospect to find employment. It’s a source of pride for Cimientos that the teenagers we support can visit the ford plant. The collaboration between civil society and private companies ‘opens a world’ to the adolescents we work with, both promoting their employment prospects and encouraging them to pursue higher education.” stated Mercedes Méndez Ribas,Executive Director of Cimientos.

Ford Argentina and Fundación Cimientos continue to collaborate to positively impact the lives of thousands of young people, reaffirming their shared vision that quality education is the key to building a better world full of opportunities where people are free to move and pursue their dreams.

Education as the Main Axis

education is the most powerful tool for generating genuine and lasting development for individuals and society. Thus, education remains the primary focus of Ford’s community contribution programs throughout the country.
