Family and professional caregivers, you are concerned! Don’t hesitate to walk through the door of the Auberge de la Halle this Wednesday February 11 from 2:45 p.m., in MIRANDE.

You are invited to the Café Mémoire France Alzheimer, hosted by Victoire Deltour, psychologist, as well as by volunteers from France Alzheimer Gers. The theme will be: “Behavioral disorders: better understanding to better help”, presented by Virginie Fourgeaud Bordes, psychologist.

Referent to the association for around fifteen years, Virginie Fourgeaud Bordes runs training courses for family caregivers, discussion groups, as well as the Mémoire Cafés in Auch, Isle-en-Jourdain and Masseube. With more than 20 years of experience working with people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or related illnesses, she has worked in several establishments in the department.

As an expert, she will address behaviors (such as apathy, anxiety, agitation, aggressiveness, etc.) which can sometimes complicate the lives of patients and loved ones, as well as that of professionals. The objective of this meeting is to explain and help understand these behaviors, and to offer advice and appropriate attitudes in concrete situations that the participants can share.
