Netflix Renews Bert Kreischer’s ‘Free Bert’ for Season Two

Netflix has renewed the comedy series Free Bert, starring comedian Bert Kreischer, for a second season. The announcement was made on Monday, March 16, 2026, by showrunners Jarrad Paul and Andy Mogel, who also created the series with Kreischer Variety.

While the first season achieved some viewership success, debuting in Netflix’s Global Top 10 in January 2026, critical reception was mixed. Daniel Fienberg of The Hollywood Reporter described the show as “uneven” but acknowledged Kreischer’s “reasonably good” acting ability and “intense” screen presence Variety.

Free Bert is executive produced by Bert and LeeAnn Kreischer, along with Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, Elise Henderson and Judi Marmel. The series is filmed in Atlanta, alongside other Netflix productions such as Stranger Things and Sweet Magnolias Variety.
