Latvian mobile operators LMT and Tele2 are providing free calls and text messages to customers currently located in several countries in the Middle East. This move comes as a gesture of support amidst ongoing regional instability, allowing individuals to stay connected with family and friends.

Which Countries are Included?

The free communication offer extends to customers in the following countries: the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Israel, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.

LMT’s Offer Details

LMT is offering free communication to all postpaid business and residential customers located in the specified countries. The offer was initially scheduled to run until Sunday, March 8, 23:59, but LMT has indicated that the period may be extended depending on the evolving situation in the region. LMT provides mobile internet services, and MMS sending to Tele2 and Bite networks costs €0.06 per message.

Tele2’s Offer Details

Tele2 is also providing free calls and text messages to customers in the same eight Middle Eastern countries. Tele2 estimates that approximately 800 of its customers are currently in the Middle East. The duration of Tele2’s offer is also set to last until the end of the week.
