
Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series is currently slated for a February 25, 2026, launch, according to recent reports. GSM Arena frist reported the potential launch date, citing sources familiar with Samsung’s plans. This is a slight delay compared to previous Galaxy S flagship releases.
The Galaxy S25 series debuted on January 22, 2025, adn the Galaxy S24 range launched on January 17, 2024. The delay for the S26 may be linked to Samsung’s decision to replace the planned S26 Edge model with a standard S26 Plus,perhaps requiring adjustments to production and marketing timelines.
Galaxy S26 Series: What to Expect
despite the shifted launch date, leaks regarding the Galaxy S26 series specifications continue to surface. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a 5,000mAh battery, and 60W wired charging capabilities. Camera upgrades are also anticipated, building upon the features of the S25 ultra.
The Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus models may utilize either Snapdragon or Exynos chips, depending on the region. The standard S26 is rumored to include a 4,300mAh battery, while the S26 Plus is expected to maintain a 4,900mAh battery. However, significant camera hardware upgrades may be limited to the Ultra model for the standard S26 and S26 plus.
