Gangwon Province Launches ‘Acquire Benefits GO!’ to Boost Tourism in 2025-2026 Visit Gangwon Year

Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province is incentivizing tourism with the ‘Get Benefits GO!’ campaign, offering visitors mobile gift certificates and discounts on attractions as part of the ongoing ‘2025-2026 Visit Gangwon Year’ initiative. The program aims to attract tourists, stimulate local spending, and encourage repeat visits to the region.

Gift Certificate Program Details

Starting March 23rd, visitors can participate through the ‘Gangwon Benefit Straightforward’ website. Eligible participants, those with a Gangwon resident card, can receive:

• A 30,000 won mobile Gangwon gift certificate for lodging expenses of 60,000 won or more, verified through receipt submission on the ‘Gangwon Benefit Easy’ website.
• A 10,000 won mobile Gangwon gift certificate for combined spending of 50,000 won or more at restaurants, beverage shops, and tourist attractions, also verified through receipt submission on the ‘Gangwon Benefit Easy’ website.

Receipts for gambling or entertainment venues, such as general or martial arts entertainment bars, are not eligible for the consumption gift certificate.

March’s Featured Destinations: Sokcho and Donghae

Following February’s focus on Wonju and Cheorwon, Gangwon Province has designated Sokcho and Donghae as the ‘Recommended Travel Destination of the Month’ for March, offering additional benefits to visitors.

• Sokcho: Free admission to the cultural assets at Sinheungsa Temple within Seoraksan National Park. Visit Gangwon Year
