Leadership Appointments for the New Kenyan Campus

Parker-Jones will transition to his new role one year prior to the student intake, joined by his wife, Amanda Parker-Jones, who has been appointed head of teacher training at the school. The announcements were carried across multiple corporate news services, including EQS-News and PR Newswire. James Dahl, the 15th director of Wellington College, stated that Parker-Jones has brought about a profound transformation at Rugby School by raising standards and expanding its network.

Stephen Jennings, founder and CEO of Rendeavour, said that securing a founding headmaster of Parker-Jones’s stature demonstrates the high ambitions set for the project. Rendeavour is developing Tatu City as a new urban center in Kenya.

Wellington College International Kenya will operate as a co-educational day and boarding school for students aged 3 to 18 years old. The campus is situated within a 5,000-acre parkland setting in Tatu City, featuring running and riding tracks, coffee plantations, and natural lakes.

The institution is part of a broader network of 12 British schools spanning the United Kingdom, China, Thailand, India, Indonesia, and the United States. In Africa, it marks Rendeavour’s second collaboration with Wellington College, following the development of Wellington College International Lagos.

The school will offer boarding facilities from its opening day to provide families with flexibility between day and boarding options.
