Garmin has officially rolled out system software update version 13.25 for a number of Instinct series smartwatches. This update is here to fix crucial issues related to the recently introduced Smart Wake Alarm feature, while bringing improvements to the translation aspect.

This version 13.25 update is specifically intended for users of the Garmin Instinct 3, Instinct E, and Instinct Crossover smartwatches. The main focus is addressing potential bugs crash when the Smart Wake Alarm feature is activated. This feature itself is designed to intelligently adjust the user’s wake-up time based on their sleep cycle.

Instead of setting a definite alarm time, users can choose a wake-up window of 30 minutes. The smartwatch will then use health data to detect the optimal time to sound the alarm, to avoid feeling lethargic or groggy when you wake up. According to Mureks’ monitoring, fixing this bug is very important to ensure a more stable and reliable user experience.

In addition to the Smart Wake Alarm bug fix, stable update 13.25 also includes translation updates for the Garmin Connect Mobile (GCM) app. This is a relatively minor release, following just a few days after the launch of the previous version 13.24.

New Features from Previous Updates

As a reminder, the previous 13.24 update brought a number of significant new features. For Garmin Instinct 3 and Instinct E users, the update introduces a new activity called Treadmill Walk as well as customization options for Morning Report. Meanwhile, the Garmin Instinct Crossover, which is currently priced at around $299.99 on Amazon, gets a watch face design (watch face) new fresher.

Currently, system software update 13.25 has been distributed to about 20% of Garmin Instinct 3, Instinct E, and Instinct Crossover smartwatch users. This update is expected to be automatically installed on the device when connected to the Garmin Connect mobile app or Garmin Express computer software.
