Gers Pardoel Faces Accusations of Abuse and Financial Difficulties

Dutch singer Gers Pardoel is currently facing a series of personal and professional challenges, including accusations of domestic abuse from his ex-partner, Sélina van Gool, and reports of financial strain. These issues reach as Pardoel reportedly hasn’t seen his children in three years.

Accusations of Abuse

Sélina van Gool, Pardoel’s ex-partner and former manager, has publicly accused the singer of years of abuse, detailing alleged incidents in her recent book, “Intieme Terreur” (Intimate Terror). According to Welingelichtekringen.nl and Libelle, Van Gool alleges physical and emotional abuse, including instances of being physically assaulted whereas pregnant. She describes an incident in 2013 where Pardoel allegedly dragged her out of bed while she was heavily pregnant, causing her to sustain a back injury. Bekendeburen.nl reports Van Gool claims Pardoel frequently used abusive language towards her, including the phrase “Je moet je bek houden, kankerwijf” (“You must shut your mouth, cancer wife”).

Pardoel has denied the allegations through his lawyer, according to Bekendeburen.nl.

Financial Struggles and Property Sale

In addition to the abuse allegations, Pardoel has reportedly been experiencing financial difficulties. AD.nl reports that Pardoel previously put his villa up for sale in 2025, hoping for a significant profit. Though, AD.nl states he may not be able to realize that profit at this time. He has likewise reportedly purchased a bungalow in a strictly Reformed community, as reported by AD.nl.

Custody Issues

According to AD.nl, Pardoel has not seen his children for three years and is currently involved with child protective services regarding visitation rights.
