PNS Report Receiving Gifts from Interns to KPK
jakarta – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has revealed that civil servants (PNS) and state administrators reported receiving gratuities from apprentices. These gifts included various items considered gratification.
throughout 2025, the KPK received 5,020 reports of gratification, wiht a portion originating from civil servants.
“The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) also received a number of reports from civil servants and state administrators who were assigned by their agencies to become internship mentors.They reported receiving gratuities from the students or interns they mentored,” said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to journalists, quoted Friday (2/1/2026).
The reported gifts varied, ranging from clothes, drinking bottles or tumblers, to perfume.
“The gifts vary, from clothes, jackets, tumblers, watches to perfume,” he said.
KPK Coordinates with the Ministry of Manpower
Budi did not disclose the exact number of civil servants who reported receiving gifts from interns. Though, he stated that the KPK had coordinated with the Ministry of Manpower to prevent interns from giving gifts to civil servants.
“Because of this very reason, as an initial mitigation step, regarding the Joint Internship Programme from the Ministry of Manpower, the Corruption Eradication Commission has also coordinated with the Ministry of Manpower so that there are no gifts or other things given,” he said.
