Earlier this year, an apartment, which was described as a rare opportunity, was put up for sale in Oslo at a price of NOK 14.9 million.

After a completely wild round of bidding, the apartment ended up going NOK 6.5 million above the asking price.

The lucky buyer is Marie Ulven Ringheim (26), better known as the artist Girl in red, according to Solgt.no

International star status

Ringheim has achieved international star status after warming up for several major artists such as Taylor Swift.

Last year she won the Spellemann prize for “Alternative Pop” and “Songwriter of the Year”.

In addition to the new home, Ringheim also owns another apartment in Oslo. She took this over in 2021 at a price of NOK 10.9 million.

According to the tax lists, the artist is listed in 2024 with an income of NOK 1.9 million and a fortune of NOK 41.4 million.

Nettavisen has not received a comment from the artist’s manager.

Abnormal interest

– There was abnormally high interest and momentum, wrote real estate agent Fredrik Buer Moe in an e-mail Oslo newspaper after the home sale.

During the screening, the queue stretched all the way down the stairs from the second floor and far out the door.

Initially, two screenings were set up, but due to the large demand, an additional screening was set up on Wednesday last week.

Needs a lot of renovation

The farm was described in the advertisement as one of the most beautiful in Oslo, attpåtil in one of the city’s most beautiful streets, with the park at St. Hanshaugen as its nearest neighbour.

There are only seven apartments in the estate, and it is not often that they come up for sale, but in the autumn of 2024, an apartment on the first floor of 210 square meters was sold for an asking price of NOK 19.8 million.

– There is a need for full renovation and the layout offers many possibilities if you want to make changes, the sales statement states.

The cost estimate given for refurbishing both bathrooms is between NOK 400,000 and 1 million.
