GXO Mechelen: A Model for modern Logistics

67,000 square meters of high-tech logistics real estate, 6,000 pallets processed daily, and a network of specialized partners working in perfect harmony. The new GXO site in Mechelen, named Logistics building of the Year 2025, demonstrates how scale, sustainability, automation, and safety can go hand in hand. It’s a prime example of how collaboration makes logistics truly stronger.

The GXO facility in Mechelen opened in June 2023 and boasts a strategic location along the E19 highway, right next to the Kellanova Pringles factory. From here, it handles 30 to 35% of Kellanova’s European distribution, serving destinations like the Benelux, France, Germany, the Nordics, and the UK. This means fewer kilometers traveled and maximum efficiency.

The building is entirely carbon neutral, equipped with 16,000 solar panels, and constructed using materials with an environmental Product Declaration.featuring four custom units for Kellanova, this is now the brand’s largest logistics hub in Europe.
