Hamburg Child Protection Center Opens New Location

The Child Protection Association inaugurated a new location for its child protection center in Hamburg-Altona on Friday, March 20, 2026. The center has been providing assistance to children and families affected by violence for 36 years.

Strengthening Support for Children and Families

With the new premises at Haubachstraße 74, the non-profit association aims to expand its services for children, young people, and families in Hamburg. The 380 square meter facility, formerly a tax office, underwent a four-month renovation.

City Funding and Staffing

The city will cover the majority of the renovation costs, totaling approximately 250,000 euros. Nine psychologists and social educators will provide counseling and support related to domestic violence at the new center. The center was previously located on Emilienstrasse in Eimsbüttel for 27 years.
