Police reports indicate that Roberts arrived drunk and attempted to start a fight with the woman. Despite multiple requests from both the woman and English to leave and go home, Roberts refused. The situation escalated into a verbal argument between English and Roberts, which eventually turned into a physical altercation.
Surveillance footage captured the sequence of events following the fight. While Roberts returned to the trailer with the woman, English was seen entering the first floor of the residence. He emerged shortly after with a firearm, pointed it at Roberts, and fired, according to the Middletown Press.
