Tyrrell Hatton is among eight DP World Tour members who have reached an agreement with the tour regarding their participation in LIV Golf events, securing their eligibility for the 2026 Ryder Cup. However, Jon Rahm’s future with the European team remains in doubt as he continues to appeal sanctions imposed for playing in unsanctioned LIV Golf tournaments.

Deal Details and Player List

The agreement allows Hatton, Laurie Canter, Thomas Detry, Tom McKibbin, Adrian Meronk, Victor Perez, David Puig, and Elvis Smylie to continue playing in LIV Golf tournaments in 2026 without facing further disciplinary action from the DP World Tour. To secure this conditional release, all eight players have agreed to fulfill several conditions, including paying outstanding fines, participating in additional DP World Tour events, and withdrawing all pending appeals Sky Sports.

Rahm’s Continued Appeal

Jon Rahm, who previously stated he has “no intention” of paying fines for breaching DP World Tour regulations, is not part of this agreement and is continuing his appeal against the sanctions. Impact on DP World Tour and LIV Golf

The DP World Tour stated that the agreement “will provide additional value… and benefit to the entire membership.” This move follows a trend of shifting regulations within professional golf, including changes on the PGA Tour that allowed Brooks Koepka to rejoin after leaving LIV Golf and Patrick Reed to remain on the DP World Tour while awaiting the expiration of his PGA Tour suspension Sky Sports.
