A Vibrant Spring of Culture Unfolds in the Hérault Valley
The Hérault Valley is set to bloom with a diverse array of cultural events this spring, offering something for all ages and interests. From painting workshops to music festivals and pottery demonstrations, the region promises a rich tapestry of artistic experiences from March 10th through May 27th, 2026.
Creative Workshops for All Ages
The cultural program, organized by the CCVH (Communauté de Communes Vallée de l’Hérault), kicks off on Tuesday, March 10th, at the Gignac media library with a gouache painting workshop led by illustrator Paola Hirou. In partnership with the association Tapatoudi, the workshop is designed for children aged eight and up and is offered free of charge with registration. Participants will create maritime-themed artwork and a book signing with Paola Hirou will be hosted by the Un point, un trait bookstore.
Further workshops are scheduled throughout the spring, including:
- April 21st: Illumination art workshop at the aged Aniane abbey.
- April 28th: Watercolor initiation at the Aniane abbey.
- May 5th: Drawing workshop with author-illustrator Nathalie Choux at the Jonquières library.
- May 6th: Workshop at the Montarnaud library.
- May 27th: Comic strip creation workshop with author-illustrator Nina Six at the Tressan library.
Argileum: A Hub for Pottery and Artistic Exploration

The schedule includes modeling workshops on Wednesdays, March 11th and 18th, and April 1st, a filming course on March 21st and 22nd, and “filming Saturdays” on May 9th, 23rd, and 30th. Argileum will likewise participate in the European Crafts Days on April 11th and 12th, hosting a collective exhibition of artwork created by local artisans using various mediums like pottery and ironwork.
On Saturday, May 23rd, Argileum will participate in the national “La Nuit des musées” (Museum Night) event, offering a unique experience combining local wine (or fruit juice) tasting with guitar performances by students from the Intercommunal Music School.
