Hoban Group Announces Executive Reshuffle to Strengthen Core Competitiveness

Hoban Group announced an executive reshuffle, aiming to strengthen core business competitiveness and secure future growth engines amidst an uncertain business environment, according to m.news.nate.com. The group elevated several key leaders across its construction, trading, and leisure affiliates to build new leadership structures and enhance execution capabilities.

Kim Dae-heon Named Chairman of Hoban Construction Board

Kim Dae-heon, formerly head of planning and general strategy, was named chairman of the Hoban Construction board of directors. In his new role, Kim will leverage his experience across group operations to guide mid-to-long-term growth strategies, respond to market uncertainties, and participate in key decision-making processes for the builder’s future vision.

Song Jong-min Appointed Group Senior Vice Chairman

Song Jong-min, previously vice chairman and CEO of Taihan Electric Wire, stepped into the roles of group senior vice chairman and CEO of Hoban Construction. Song will focus on strengthening cooperation and synergies among affiliates while expanding urban maintenance projects and large-scale development drives in Seoul and the metropolitan area. Byun Bu-seob, head of construction safety at Hoban Construction, was promoted to president to form a co-CEO structure alongside Song.

Affiliate Leadership Changes at Taihan Electric Wire and Hoban Industrial

Kim Jun-seok, former vice president at Taihan Electric Wire, was promoted to president and named CEO while retaining his position as head of the group strategy division. Kim plans to expand business foundations in the United States and Europe while converting large-scale investments in high-voltage direct current (HVDC) and subsea cables into tangible results. Meanwhile, Jeong Seong-ki was promoted to president and named CEO of Hoban Industrial, where he will oversee renewable energy expansions in wind and solar power alongside urban data center construction. Kang Shin-ju, former managing director at Hoban Hotel & Resort, was promoted to vice president and named CEO to steer resort competitiveness and new initiatives like the Hwajinpo International Resort development.
