Hoffenheim Secures Summer Transfer for Swiss Striker Alessandro Vogt
TSG Hoffenheim has confirmed the signing of Swiss youth international Alessandro Vogt, who will join the Bundesliga club in the summer of 2026. The 21-year-old striker has impressed with his goal-scoring record for FC St. Gallen.
Vogt’s Impressive Season with St. Gallen
In his first full season with FC St. Gallen, Vogt has registered 16 goals and five assists in 32 competitive games. He has also scored two goals in six appearances for the Switzerland U21s. Prior to joining St. Gallen, Vogt developed through the youth academies of Wohlen, Baden, and Aarau.

Vogt could potentially feature in UEFA Champions League football with Hoffenheim in the 2026/27 season, as the club is currently third in the Bundesliga standings. The transfer deal is for an undisclosed amount, but reports indicate a release clause of under €3 million facilitated the agreement according to transfer expert Rudy Galletti.

Vogt returned to Wohlen in 2021 and signed his first professional contract with them on July 18, 2022. He then transferred to St. Gallen’s reserves in 2023 before being promoted to the senior team. For the 2024–25 season, he scored 13 goals in 25 games with St. Gallen U21 and made 2 appearances with the senior team. He was formally promoted to St. Gallen’s senior team on July 22, 2025, signing a professional contract until 2029.
