Holly Carpenter’s Fairytale Wedding: A Blend of Irish Charm and French Romance
Model and former Miss Ireland, Holly Carpenter, married her partner Jamie Bermingham on September 6, 2025, following a small civil ceremony in Dublin in May at Charlotte Quay restaurant, the location of their first date.1 The couple celebrated their wedding with 14 close family members at Le Domaine de Baulieu in Auch, France.
A French Connection
The choice of France held special significance for the couple, as Carpenter’s father had a formative exchange student experience there, maintaining a lifelong connection with a French family.1 Initially considering a grand chateau, the couple opted for the more manageable and intimate setting of Le Domaine de Baulieu.
Laid-Back Morning and Bridal Style
The wedding day began with a relaxed atmosphere, with Carpenter enjoying music and iced coffee on the balcony. Her husband and his groomsmen, still, opted for an early morning run.1
Carpenter chose a whimsical wedding dress from Verona Bridal in Belfast, featuring a bodice, detachable sleeves, and a long veil.1 The bridal party included two bridesmen in blue shorts and linen shirts from Louis Copeland, and two bridesmaids in blue dresses from Dresscode in Dublin.
Groom’s Attire and Personal Touches
The groom and groomsmen also wore outfits from Louis Copeland, with the groomsmen foregoing suit jackets due to the warm weather.1 Carpenter chose to do her own makeup, finding it a calming and focusing activity.
A Personal Ceremony
The ceremony was secular and officiated by a close friend who had been present from the beginning of Carpenter and Bermingham’s relationship.1 Carpenter’s mother walked her down the aisle in place of her father, who attended via Zoom. The ceremony incorporated Irish traditions, including the “tying the knot” custom using Cork colors to honor Bermingham’s heritage, and the rose tradition.1
Reception and Entertainment
The reception featured a band, Detroit Rumour, discovered on Fix the Music, chosen for their resemblance to Robbie Williams, whom the couple had recently seen in concert.1 Their first dance was to Robbie Williams’ “She’s The One.” A day-two pool party featured DJ Glamo and a surprise performance by Ronan Keating’s nephew, Josh Keating.1
Reflecting on the day, Carpenter expressed that the joy of seeing everyone enjoying themselves made all the planning worthwhile.1
