The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) closed down 0.83% or 50.56 points at 6,071.14 on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, dragged down by a massive Rp1.61 trillion net foreign sell across all markets despite earlier significant gains, according to data reported by CNBC Indonesia.

Trading Volume and Foreign Capital Outflow Details

Market activity remained relatively quiet during the Wednesday session, recording a total trading volume of 30.13 billion shares with a transaction value of approximately Rp14.04 trillion across 1.80 million trades. Foreign investors drove the downward pressure by offloading Rp1.61 trillion worth of shares. Out of this total foreign divestment, Rp1.56 trillion occurred in the regular market, while the remaining Rp58.12 billion took place in the negotiation and cash markets.
