Ina Vorontsova’s “Alchemy of the Soul” Exhibition Opens at Kuldīga County Museum
The Kuldīga County Museum is currently hosting a personal exhibition by artist Ina Vorontsova, titled Alchemy of the Soul. The exhibition, which runs until November 15, 2026, features book graphics, sculpture, and interior art, exploring existential themes and archetypes of the human psyche.1
Exploring Themes of Light and Darkness
The exhibition is divided into thematic sections. The first floor showcases the theme of alchemy, featuring bronze figurines inspired by the initial letters of medieval books, alongside graphic works. The second floor presents an installation centered around the theme of war.1
Vorontsova explains that the exhibition explores the interplay between light and darkness, stating, “Until we go through the darkness, the light will not approach.” She describes the second hall as a continuation of the first, depicting the realities of war and its impact.1
First Exhibition in Kuldīga
This marks Ina Vorontsova’s first exhibition in Kuldīga, and she expressed her gratitude for the ease of bringing her operate to the city and acknowledged the excellent cooperation with Viktorija Safonova, the museum’s exhibition curator.1
