Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh – A devastating explosion at a firecracker manufacturing facility in Kakinada district has resulted in the deaths of 20 people and left 11 others critically injured, according to reports on March 1, 2026. Both the state and central governments have announced financial assistance for the families of the deceased.
