Elkan Baggott Returns to Indonesia National Team for FIFA Series 2026
Jakarta – Indonesian national team coach John Herdman has called up 41 players for a preliminary squad ahead of the FIFA Series 2026, including the return of defender Elkan Baggott and forward Ezra Walian. The Indonesian national team is scheduled to compete in the FIFA Series from March 27-30, 2026, facing Bulgaria, Solomon Islands, and Saint Kitts and Nevis at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta.
The announcement of the 41-player squad came early Monday morning, March 9, 2026 . Baggott’s inclusion marks his return to the national team after his last appearance in January 2024 during the Asian Cup .
Miliano Jonathans is as well included in the squad despite a recent serious injury sustained whereas playing for Excelsior Rotterdam. There is a possibility he may not be fit for the March event . Ezra Walian also receives another opportunity to showcase his skills, having not been considered since the era of Shin Tae-yong.

The FIFA Series 2026 in Jakarta will feature four teams: Indonesia, Bulgaria, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and Solomon Islands. Indonesia is scheduled to play against Saint Kitts and Nevis on March 27th at the SUGBK. A win would advance Indonesia to the final against the winner of the Solomon Islands versus Bulgaria match .
